Dr. Mohamed M. Abdulhamid, MD

Personal Experience & Biography

Not only is Dr. Abdulhamid a trained doctor and FAANS, but he’s also a board-certified neurosurgeon and trained in spine surgery during a fellowship. The doctor has the extensive medical training that you want, which started when he began his studies at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He then completed a neurosurgery residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University. Upon finishing his studies in Syracuse, New York, he moved to Miami, Florida to do a fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgery. The doctor also worked for the Phoenix HonorHealth North Mountain facility as a trauma neurosurgeon.

With years of experience helping patients cope with traumatic brain injuries and different types of spine injuries, he can help you feel comfortable about the procedures that you need. His top-notch medical experience makes him one of the only doctors in Arizona who can help evaluate and treat traumatic injuries. The doctor can help with the Coflex procedure as well as artificial disc replacement and total cervical disc replacement. He can also handle image-guided surgery and minimally invasive discectomy along with intraoperative navigation.

Many of these procedures allow him to complete the work that you need in less time and without leaving behind large scars. He makes an incision that is only one inch in size and cuts only the skin without touching your soft tissues or muscles. This reduces the risk of you developing an infection and causes you to experience less pain and lose less blood. You will also spend less time in the recovery room and heal faster.
